The coir produced from coconut husk is used for variety of purposes.These include coir bed, for making containers, curtains etc.
The wood of coconut is used for making furnitures and used in the construction of buildings.Wooden crafts are also made from the coconut wood.
Major coconut producing countries includes Philippines, Indonesia, India, Brazil, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Mexico, Vietnam etc.
